Avenue of the Americas Association presents 2011 Gold Key Award to RXR Realty
RXR Receives Acclaim for Its Investments in Seven New York City Properties |

New York, NY (November 1, 2011) - The Avenue of the Americas Association presented its 2011 Gold Key Award to RXR Realty for the real estate firm's investment in 6.7 million square feet of space in New York City with a gross asset value of $2.9 billion over the past eighteen months.
The Award was presented at the Association's 85th Anniversary Gala at the Hilton, with 380 guests in attendance. The Association also recognized and celebrated RXR Realty's return to the Avenue of Americas with the purchase of 1330 Avenue of the Americas.
"The Avenue of the Americas Association is proud to present the 2011 Gold Key Award to Scott Rechler and RXR Realty for the company's tremendous leadership in real estate investment, operations and asset management this past year," said Andrew Gottesman, principal of the Hippodrome Building and chairperson of the Avenue of the Americas Association. "We are thrilled that under Scott's leadership, the company has returned to the Avenue of the Americas and will be such an important leader in our community and organization."

Since 1961, The Avenue of the Americas has honored acclaimed leaders from local business, art and government institutions with the presentation of the Gold Key Award. This prestigious award recognizes and celebrates those who actively enhance the Avenue and the City of New York. Previous winners include Met Life, The Durst Organization, The New York Times, The Museum of Modern Art and Conrad Hilton.
The Avenue of the Americas Association, created in 1926, is a civic improvement corporation that acts on behalf of its members to address issues affecting business operations and the quality of life on and around the Avenue of the Americas.

• Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, The Durst Organization – Winner for Certification & Achievements, Buildings over 1 million sq. ft.
The Bank of America Tower is the first commercial high rise to earn LEED platinum certification, milestone for New York City and for commercial high rises around the world.
• The Hippodrome Building, 1120 Avenue of the Americas –Winner for Certification & Achievements, Buildings under 1 million sq. ft.
The Hippodrome Building received Energy Star Certification, which is the mark of superior energy performance as determined by the U.S. EPA.
• UBS, 1285 Avenue of the Americas – Winner for Certification & Achievements, Tenants under 100,000 sq. ft.
UBS received LEED Gold Certification by the US Green Building Council by reducing its lighting levels, water usage and diverting 75 percent of construction debris from landfill.
• Mitsui Fudosan America, Inc., 1251 Avenue of the Americas - Winner for Energy Efficiency Projects, Buildings over 1 million sq. ft.
1251's lighting retrofit project entailed replacing 1600 lighting fixtures. The estimated energy savings is 380,000 KWH of electricity per year.
• Cushman & Wakefield, 1290 Avenue of the Americas - Winner for Certification & Achievements, Tenants over 100,000 sq. ft.
Cushman & Wakefield received LEED – CI certification by the U.S. Green Building Council at its World Headquarters at 1290, reducing its lighting levels, water usage and diverting 75 percent of the construction debris from a landfill.
• Rockefeller Group Development Corporation, 1221 Avenue of the Americas - Honorable Mention for Certification & Achievements, Buildings over 1 million sq. ft.
1221 is the largest building to receive LEED-EB v. 2.0 certification in New York City. The building also increased its Energy Star rating.
• NBC Universal, 30 Rockefeller Center - Honorable Mention for Certification / Achievements, Tenants Under 100,000 sq. ft.
NBC used environmental sustainable products to renovate 75,000 sq. ft. of space. It was recognized for its two telepresence video-conference rooms, which will reduce travel and energy consumption and pays for itself with the elimination of just 10 percent of trips.
